San Jiao 8

Chinese Name: Sanyangluo (English translation: Three Yang Connection)

Location: On the dorsal aspect of the forearm, on the line connecting SJ 4 and the tip of the elbow, 4 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist between the ulna and radius.

Classification: Crossing point of the of the Three Yang Meridians of the arm

Indications:

  • Deafness, sudden loss of voice
  • Toothache
  • Spasm and pain of the upper extemities

Functions: Activates the meridian, removes obstructions, alleviates pain.

Needling: Perpendicular insertion .8 - 1.2 cun.
