Chinese Name: Renying (English translation: Man's Welcome)

Location:  On the neck, lateral to the Adam's apple, on the anterior border of m. sternocleidomastoideus, where the common carotid artery pulsates.

Classification: Crossing point of the Stomach and Gall Bladder Meridians.
Window of the Sky point
Sea of Qi point

Indications:

• Sore throat, scrofula, goiter
• Asthma, hemoptysis
• Hypertension, apoplexy, hemiplegia
• Arthralgia of the knee

Functions: Regulates Qi and Blood, subdues rebellious Qi, benefits the throat and neck.

Needling: Keep away from the common carotid artery. Perpendicular insertion .3 - .8 cun. No moxa. Do not puncture deeply.
