Tianzhu (English translation: Celestial Pillar)Location: On the nape, in the depression on the lateral border of m. trapezius, within the posterior hairline, 1.3 cun lateral to the midline.

Sea of Qi point Indications:
Functions: Expels Wind, activates the meridian, soothes the sinews, benefits the head, alleviates pain, opens the sense orifices.
Needling: Perpendicular or oblique insertion .5 - .8 cun.
