Yishe (English translation: Reflection Abode)Location: On the back, 3.0 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 11th thoracic vertebra. Indications:
Functions: Regulates the Spleen and Stomach, clears Damp-Heat. Notes: UB 49 is the outer Back-Shu of the Spleen. Its special feature is that it helps treat the psychological/spiritual aspect of the Spleen. Therefore, it can be used to treat memory, over-thinking, or obsessive thinking. Needling: Oblique insertion .5 - .8 cun. |
