Also known as: Pteropus and Bulrush Formula or Losing the Smile Powder

Ingredients

    Clears blood vessels, disperses stagnant Blood, alleviates pain and stops bleeding.

    With Pu Huang, for abdominal pain, lochioschesis, menstrual irregularity and stabbing epigastric and chest pain due to Blood Stasis.

    Pollen Typhae

    Pu Huang

    3-15g

    Raw: Strongly promotes Blood circulation. Honey-fried: Stops bleeding.

    Use in equal parts for hemorrhage due to Blood Stasis.

    Wine or vinegar

     

     

    Wine warms the menses and promotes Blood circulation.

    Vinegar transforms Blood Stasis and promotes the circulation of Blood.

Actions

Invigorates Blood, Dispels Blood Stasis, Disperses accumulation and Alleviates pain.

    Blood Stagnation in ST

    Blood Stasis which obstructs the vessels of the lower abdomen LIV Qi

    Stagnation with Blood Blockage

Clinical Manifestations

    Irregular menstruation

    Retention of lochia

    Acute, colicky lower abdominal pain

    Epigastric pain

    Pain beneath the heart

    Dysmenorrhea

    Post-partum abdominal pain

    Severe pain in the middle abdomen

    Post-partum bleeding

    Swelling and pain of external injuries

    T: Purple with purple spots
    P: Wiry, choppy and tight

Treats

    Endometriosis

    Coronary artery disease

    Amenorrhea

    Lochioschesis

    Angina pectoris

Contraindications

    Pregnancy.

    Caution with ST Xu.
