experienced instructors will guide you as they navigate through dissected cadavers. This CEU course will
take place at the University Of California, Irvine.
Never before has such an amazing integration of structural anatomy with ancient modalities has been
presented. This unique series of workshops involve the examination of dissected cadaver sections: (1)
neck, shoulder, and upper extremities, (2) low back, pelvic, and lower extremities. Come and see how the
structures of the body appear and experience the amazing intricacy and beauty of anatomical structures in
flesh.
These series of workshops will review regional anatomy and will look at various conditions commonly
encountered by acupuncturists in clinical practice. The lab component of this workshops were designed by
Dr. So to empower acupuncturists with palpating skills emphasizing the anatomy of bones and soft tissues
anatomy as it is related to musculoskeletal injuries.
First, lectures will be presented by Dr. So on Anatomic Acupuncture and Dr. Lee on Vertex Synchronizing
Technique (VST) will be presented, and then we will move to the cadaver lab to observe and learn about
the origins of muscles, insertions and actions in reference to bony landmarks; peripheral nerve pathways
in relations to meridian topography and dermatome distributions. After the lab, we will return back to
the lecture room to learn the method in implementing Dr. Lees VST to treat the disorders of the (1)
neck, shoulder and upper extremities on May 18th and (2) low back, pelvic and lower extremities on June
15th.
